Soldier at the Bottom of the Pole

Wednesday night was an absolute BLAST! Everyone had a great time at Spotlight.
Mark and I had a hoot going back-to-back, a few records at a time. Our records definately mesh very well together. We got a lot of compliments about our set throughout the night. We decided to drop it down hard and funky and it was definately a hit!
Then Everfresh came on and blew the croud away with his Ragga Jungle set. It was absolutely phenomenal! He has this stage presence that could blow the tits off Pam Anderson. He was spinning, scratching and even picked up the microphone to freestyle while doing everything else! It was AWESOME!
Ian Cognito (Ash) and Shemp definately got my feet stomping along with all the other breaksters. They played a wicked back-to-back, record-for-record set. Ash with his hard-ass broken beats and Shemp with his funky styles. These guys definately rocked the rest of the night!
When everything was finally packed up and we were finally kicked out of the bar, we all headed over to Ash's place for an intimate after-party. He has the sweetest setup in his basement. We all relaxed to a more chilled repertoire.
Throughout the night I was asked by a few people why I wasn't a 'Soldier' yet. (Soldiers of Sound member) I hadn't actually been asked to join them yet. After all was said and done tonight Ash started calling me the Soldier at the bottom of his totem pole.
I left Ash's place with a new title, a new crew, and hopefully a few more gigs.
What a satisfying eve!
